Fourth Annual

UnLonely Film Festival:
Launch Celebration

Welcome! Watch the Trailer…

CELEBRATE. HONOR. CONNECT.

The 4th annual UnLonely Film Festival is a collection of 35 short-narrative, animated, and documentary films dealing with the issue of loneliness. Available to stream at unlonelyfilms.org all year long, the films are each presented in conjunction with discussion questions and creative art activities to help viewers explore the themes more deeply.

For the first time, the festival kicked off with a virtual awards ceremony to allow viewers around the world to honor the festival award-winners and celebrate the power of the arts to connect in a time when feeling connected is more important than ever.

The ceremony  included:

  • Screenings of this year’s award-winning films
  • Appearances by luminaries from the arts, medicine, and public policy world
  • Recognition of front-line healthcare workers and other COVID-19 heroes

We created The UnLonely Project to help reduce stigma and the burden of loneliness by encouraging people to tap into outlets for creative expression. Today, it is more timely than ever as people around the world struggle with the impact of social isolation.  We hope the UnLonely Film Festival offers viewers an opportunity to learn, laugh, cry, smile, and, most importantly, connect.
