What is their why?
“We wanted to make this film because Millie is unlike anyone we had ever met before. She challenges any and all societal stereotypes and that was something we wanted to explore through telling her story. Growing up in a conservative religious household, she never felt that she could be her authentic self. Even though she is unapologetically herself today, she still struggles to accept who she is. We know there are other people out there who may be in similar situations – who feel lonely and isolated and can relate to Millie’s story. We hope that this film will inspire and empower people to embrace who they are and live their truth, no matter how difficult it may be.”
