Jayla is a psychology major at Morris Brown College. Her goal is to become a school psychologist and support children, teens and young adults in the community by addressing mental health, physical health, emotional health, and loneliness within schools. She is a part of the H.O.P.E organization on campus, which brings together students who are navigating life amidst hardship, homelessness, mental health challenges, and academic challenges to bond and embrace each other through monthly events and activities. She is also a part of the Move In Day Mafia organization, which helps students who have aged out of foster care, faced homelessness, or have significant financial hardship attend the HBCU of their choice while receiving mentorship, financial assistance, professional development opportunities, and alumni networking opportunities.
