Tuesday, April 10, 11:15 am – Noon: the Foundation’s short film, titled Can Art Be Medicine? will be shown as part of the True North Documentary Film Series, hosted by North Hill at Olin College (1000 Olin Way, Needham, MA 02492) on Tuesday, April 10 at 11:15 am. The film, which was sponsored in part by Philips, shows individuals who have used creative expression as part of their healing journey talking about how it helped them. Doctors also discuss the scientific reasons behind why art heals, and what we still don’t know about the subject. Foundation Executive Director, Deborah Obalil, will introduce the film and lead a Q&A session following the screening. For more information visit TrueNorthEvolution.org/Documentary.
Thursday, November 10, 6-8 pm: the Foundation’s short film, titled Can Art Be Medicine? will premiere at the Harvard Club of New York from 6 to 8 p.m. (35 W. 44th Street). The film, which was sponsored in part by Philips, shows patients who have used creative expression as part of their healing journey talking about how it helped them. Doctors also discuss the scientific reasons behind why art heals, and what we still don’t know about the subject.
Series at the Danforth Museum of Art
The Foundation for Art and Healing is pleased to sponsor a series of readings, talks and panel discussions related to exhibits on view through November 6, 2011 at the Danforth Museum of Art in Framingham, MA. The series will enable exhibiting artists and others to share their experiences and visions related to the unique intersections of creativity and healing. Please join us.
